Hi, I'm Heather.
I'm Heather Rold. I've spent more than 15 years in B2B marketing, at companies selling something complex — technical products, long sales cycles, buyers who can tell within two sentences whether you actually understand their world.
And almost none of them had good documentation on their products or their buyers.
The problem I kept seeing
The product knowledge existed, but it either lived in scattered files (PDFs, slides, call transcripts, user guides) or in people's heads — the founder, a product manager, a sales engineer, the handful of people everyone pings when there's a new hire to onboard or product to launch. And if they left, that knowledge left with them.
Bring on a new agency or contractor and the same thing happened every time: hand them a stack of decks, point them at the website, have your expert give them a demo, and hope they get it. They didn't, not really. So you ended up doing a big chunk of the work yourself, or handholding through round after round of edits.
For a long time I didn't think of that as a documentation problem. I thought it was just how complex B2B marketing worked.
Going out on my own
In 2023, I left in-house marketing to start my own consultancy running marketing campaigns for B2B companies with complex products.
Where I focused first was onboarding. It was important to me to learn a client's business well enough to execute without needing my hand held through every draft, and to be the kind of partner who understood the product as well as they did. So I built an entire process around it.
Every engagement began with in-depth interviews which I used to create detailed documentation on their products, buyers, messaging, and more. It was great training for myself and for AI. Deliverables were higher quality with fewer edits, and my clients were happy.
The moment it clicked
Then, a client hired me to help improve AI search results. They needed to produce a LOT of content (by product, by persona, by use case, by industry) and each page required real depth on the product, the features, the implementation. That volume used to take months to create. AI can help. But only if it actually knows the product.
So I built the thing that was missing — structured, in-depth product and persona documentation the AI could actually use — out of necessity, for that one client.
Then I showed it to a group of product marketers, and the reaction was immediate: people need this. Someone else told me to productize it. So I did.
Introducing AI Context Kit™
AI Context Kit™ is your foundation, documented once.
I interview your product expert (or two) to capture what's in their head and collect any supporting documentation you have, in whatever format it exists. Then, I turn it into product context files (a comprehensive product brief and an approved product claims guardrail document) and buyer context files (a deep primary buyer profile, stakeholder messaging guide, and use-case message map).
Everything is delivered as a polished document your team can read and a markdown file you can load straight into any AI tool. I also include an activation guide with implementation instructions, starter AI prompts, do/don't rules, and best practices for maintenance.
So the thing you've been putting off, actually gets done.
What changes with better context
Once that foundation exists, everything downstream gets better:
- You start getting higher quality results from AI instantly. Not just copy — landing pages, sales enablement, strategy, campaigns. No more generic outputs.
- You publish work your technical buyers actually trust. No more shallow claims sales has to walk back or copy that sounds like an outsider wrote it.
- Every tool and every person touching your go-to-market is finally working from the same accurate source of truth, instead of reassembling it from fragments every time.
- Your team stops overly relying on internal product experts for everything.
- Every new hire, agency and contractor gets up to speed in weeks, not months.
- And you can finally start operationalizing and scaling AI in a meaningful way because you have the foundations in place.
